How to make your own Sackboy costume

I just got an email from Matt (Loki) from Orangeloungeradio.com who followed the guide and made himself a rather ace looking Sackboy. Nice work dude!

Just thought that I’d post a few pictures of the Sackboy at Bestival. As you can see it wasn’t clean for long!

This is just a quick note to say that I’m amazed and delighted to see that since launching the site 5 days ago things seems to have been nice and busy with visitors from all over the world.

I’ve been running Google Analytics and the stats are as follows since going live on the 10th of September:

• Absolute Unique Visitors 1,007
• Pageviews 1,724

Ok, I appreciate that these aren’t exactly huge numbers but I’m chuffed that folk are finding the site useful!

Hi there! This is a site that documents one web designer’s quest to make a Sackboy costume for a festival.

A Sackboy is a character from a game called Little Big Planet that is coming out for the PS3 quite soon (I think). I made it because it’s quite cute and gave me the opportunity to actually make something in 3D which I rarely have as a web designer.

I’ve documented the process in some detail in case other people wanted to have a go too. My instructions should be fairly easy to follow as I’m not overly technical and the build is well with most people’s grasp without any fancy tools.

Hopefully when my mates recover from Bestival I should have some more pictures to stick up here to show the finished article as I ignored advice from a certain studio mate of mine and didn’t take many shots of the outfit before it got really muddy but there’s enough for you to build your own on these pages.
